Business moves at the speed of light. Or, regardless of the many euphemisms about how quickly business changes, the pace of change does seem to be accelerating.
Whether or not you’re always super keen on the latest and greatest technology out there, if your competitor is using it, you often don’t have a choice but to adopt it.
Sometimes though it doesn’t hurt to pause for a minute and decide whether all these changes are for the better. Ultimately business is about relationships. Often, it’s about two people communicating and interacting in a way that benefits them both.
Recently we’ve been reaching out to some customers we haven’t heard from in a while. We get it. People retire, people leave companies, companies shift responsibilities to new individuals, businesses change their focus.
We felt it was important to make sure that all of our past customers know we still have the same commitment to be a leader in the supply of industrial valves and strainers. In other words, let them know we still want their business!
Which brings us back to technology. In this modern environment with so many hi-tech ways to communicate, it’s funny how difficult it can be sometimes to talk to a person.
Most companies no longer have an individual who answers the phone when you call in. You often get put into a system of trying to track down an individual. If you don’t have an extension, trying to spell the individual’s name can often prove frustrating.
We get this too. Business is competitive and companies want to be efficient. Still, we do love it when we call a customer and a human answers the phone and helps us track down the person we’re looking for.
We have emphasized this for years but now it seems more relevant than ever, that if you call Sure Flow Equipment during business hours, a person will answer the phone. If the person you want is already on a line, you will have the option of leaving a message or returning to the person who directed you originally.
Answering the phone may seem very archaic and old fashioned, even nostalgic, but we’ve been in business long enough that we still believe that good business involves relationships, with people.
We’re happy to communicate with customers who just want to order products or get quotes via email. We love engaging customers, especially new customers via our LiveChat on the website.
Sure Flow is happy to communicate at the speed of light. But we’re also very happy to talk to you on the phone. Call us for a quotation. Call us to go over specifications for a new project. Call us to find out if we have that strainer you need right in our inventory.
However you want to communicate with us, we’re happy to help. And remember, Sure Flow Equipment wants your business, and if you want to pick up the phone and call us to discuss it, we’ll answer!
We’re looking forward to talking to you soon.
