Sure Flow Equipment’s fabrication team continues to be busy custom designing and fabricating equipment for customers throughout the world.
We recently shipped several units to Peru and as is always the case, the crew was very happy with the final products.
The order included a 16-inch DB150 carbon steel 150# dual basket strainer, as well as a 6-inch carbon steel 150# dual basket strainer.
The unit pictured below is the 16-inch dual basket strainer, featuring class 150 carbon steel construction.
Our compact design features offset inlet and outlet which is common in many of our units.
The units included lifting lugs on the cover to aid in cover removal.
You’ll notice four lug style butterfly valves complete with gears for isolation.
This order included a special external coating for operating around sea water/ocean/ i.e. in a marine environment.
These dual basket strainers will be operating in a power production facility. They will be straining cooling water on the suction side of a condensate extraction pump (CEP).
As is so often the case, the power production company wanted to protect these expensive pumps, as well as reduce the likelihood of failure, so installed the strainers to ensure they are working with a filtered liquid.
Like all of the strainers we fabricate to customer specifications, these units represent the combined efforts of a diverse and committed team of engineering professionals. We think the clean lines and polished good looks of the finished product help reinforce just how committed to quality Sure Flow Equipment is.
